Shuttle
Shuttle aims to fulfill on delivering further to the promises of TEEs in a hardware independent format by venturing at two improvements:
We achieve greater confidence in decentralized execution through a multi-TEE architecture.
We develop a decentralized remote attestation with on-chain policy.
These improvements are applied as part of a blockchain atop Avalanche’s HyperSDK, which has shown the ability to execute 100k+ TPS over a distributed network. It’s important to note that these experiments were run using only basic transfer actions, and that introducing larger sized programs will necessarily decrease the speed of transaction processing of the chain. Moving transactions off-chain and into TEE’s while providing just the proof of correct execution to be processed by the consensus validators will allow us to keep our hyperchain running at hyperspeed.
The potential of a blockchain which can meet the expectations of 100k TPS in one phase of development, and then make those transactions confidential in a second separate phase, expands the scope of DeFi use cases and opens a future for us to develop products untouched by current blockchain deployments.
i.e.
Decentralized exchange inclusive of high frequency trading activity
Artificial intelligence agents using blockchain as the transactions interface
Layer 1 attestation service with transactions worth less than a penny in terms of cost
